Starry Night over the Rhone (Vincent Van Gogh ~ my favourite artist)

Starlit Night
CNBLUE

Album: Robot
Lyrics: Lee Jong Hyun
Music: Lee Jong Hyun

Listen to my story.
I saw a falling star.
And I made a wish upon the tiny spark, then.
My heart belongs to you forever, forever more.
I hope my wish can be heard to the sky…

// kimi to boku no hanashi wo shitteru?
(Do you know the story of you and I,
glowing in this world?
Your steadfast heart illuminates,
staying by my side)

Hey, look at the night sky.
Do you know why that glitters?
Our minds become a star with one accord.
Glitter in the night sky. And like your mind, baby.
And it is shining somewhere tonight.

そう きっと 君と僕の思い // sou kitto kimi to boku no omoi
(Always, the one thing on my mind
to continue to glow
Yes, surely, yours and my heart
to become one star)

I sing a song with all my heart my heart.

Lyrics taken from cnbluetheband

Small flower shuddering in the breeze. Today too, you have cheerful face. Thank you so much.

Forever Love, I’m coming to you soon.
Forever Love, I’m coming to you soon.
Forever Love, I’m coming to you soon.

Can you see my eyes? I’m here. Give me your hand.

I am not a graceful person and I just want to be good at something…

I am not a graceful person.
I am not a Sunday morning or a Friday sunset.
I am a Tuesday 2 am, I am gunshots muffled by a few city blocks, I am a broken window during February.
My bones crack on a nightly basis.
I fall from elegance with a dull thud, and I apologize for my awkward sadness.
I sometimes believe that I don’t belong around people, that I belong to all the leap days that didn’t happen.
The way the light and darkness mix under my skin has become a storm.
You don’t see the lightning, but you hear the echoes.

***

I just want to be good at something.
I want a dream I can actually follow.
A talent that could someday get me a job I love.
I don’t want to be a mediocre at everything.
But I am.

Somehow I’m amazed how come the words above suit me well. Maybe it means that I’m not alone.

The Road Not Taken

My friend once said:

The regret of not doing something is way greater than the regret of doing something

Yeah, indeed. There is a slight regret in my heart. But I know what I have to do now is being grateful with what I hold in my hand, live it sincerely, and be the person who can benefit and inspire others. While thinking on my way back home from office, I suddenly remember this poem, and surprisingly it fits my condition perfectly, especially the last verse. That’s right, I took the one less traveled by, and (hopefully) that has made all the difference.

The Road Not Taken
Robert Frost (1874–1963).  Mountain Interval.  1920.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Overall, it was a great year.

I gained a lot of experiences, a lot of life lesson, a lot of new friends, graduation, my first job, and everything.

The beginning of the year was like a hell for me, failure was shadowing me here and there.

But, we’ll ripe the fruit of our hard labor.

The end of the year was exciting.

Life is neither black nor white.

It’s a bridge of seven colored rainbow. 七色虹の橋 (nana iro niji no hashi).
